To craft a compelling mission statement, we seek a skilled professional with a strong background in strategic communication and a deep understanding of organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing abilities, the capacity to distill complex ideas into clear, concise messaging, and experience in aligning mission statements with stakeholder expectations. Responsibilities include conducting thorough research, collaborating with leadership teams, and refining language to ensure authenticity and impact. Familiarity with industry best practices, stakeholder engagement, and iterative feedback processes is essential.

Serving as a pivotal member of the Human Resources team under the supervision of the Regional HR Manager for East Africa, the Talent Manager is instrumental in driving the company’s expansion through the strategic recruitment, cultivation, and retention of top-performing employees.

Spearhead the recruitment initiatives for senior and pivotal positions, concurrently cultivating high-caliber talent pipelines and optimizing both attraction and selection methodologies to ensure optimal hiring outcomes.

Design and create innovative talent development programs encompassing structured learning initiatives, career progression pathways, competency-based frameworks, and cutting-edge digital learning solutions to enhance employee growth and organizational capability.

Lead the advancement of leadership capabilities and the strategic preparation for future organizational needs by proactively identifying and nurturing high-potential talent within the workforce.

Oversee the performance management cycle and provide guidance to managers in establishing objectives, delivering constructive feedback, and offering developmental coaching.

By fostering a positive work environment, we aim to strengthen employee engagement, improve retention rates, and cultivate a thriving organizational culture, with a particular emphasis on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.

Drive strategic initiatives focused on competitive compensation frameworks while cultivating and maintaining high-impact external partnerships with universities, agencies, and training providers. Additionally, oversee employer branding efforts to enhance organizational visibility and attract top talent.

Profile

A master’s degree in human resources management is required, along with at least six years of hands-on experience in talent management and learning & development.

Proven experience in recruitment, talent development, coaching, and mentoring throughout the entire talent lifecycle.

Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders and convey information clearly and professionally.

Proficiency in workforce planning and HR analytics is essential.

Capable of performing efficiently within a high-pressure and rapidly changing setting, this role demands adaptability and resilience to meet evolving demands.
