Oversee the execution of daily operations to ensure the smooth functioning of business processes, guaranteeing adherence to established policies and procedures. Manage a team of professionals, delegating tasks and fostering an environment that encourages collaboration and productivity while maintaining high standards of performance. Coordinate with various departments to align goals, streamline workflows, and address any operational challenges that may arise. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data, and prepare reports to evaluate efficiency, identify trends, and recommend improvements where necessary.

Collaborates closely with key clients to drive the design, execution, and assessment of designated programs or projects, ensuring alignment with objectives and standards. Systematically monitors and evaluates critical phases of development and implementation, examining pertinent documentation and reports assessing progress and performance. Proactively identifies challenges and areas requiring attention, proposing strategic solutions to mitigate risks and enhance outcomes. Maintains consistent communication with stakeholders to facilitate alignment and resolve issues, while systematically documenting and tracking follow-up actions to ensure accountability and timely resolution.

Conducts detailed research on specific elements of programs, operations, and related activities, gathering, evaluating, and presenting statistical data and additional information collected from a variety of sources.

Delivers essential assistance for policy coordination and evaluation initiatives by examining emerging issues and trends, engaging in evaluations or research projects and studies.

Assists by participating in consulting engagements alongside the client, facilitating workshops and other interactive sessions to develop and implement actionable change management strategies.

Engages in survey projects by helping to develop data collection instruments; distributes these tools, reviews and evaluates the feedback received, and interprets the responses to identify key issues or challenges before drafting initial findings.

Prepares and assists in developing diverse written deliverables, including preliminary background documents, analytical briefs, report and study sections, and contributions to various publications.

Delivers comprehensive administrative and substantive assistance to consultative gatherings, conferences, and related events by proposing agenda items, identifying and recommending participants, preparing supporting documentation and presentations, and managing logistical arrangements.

Conducts outreach initiatives, collaborates in the design and facilitation of training programs, workshops, and seminars, and delivers presentations on designated topics or activities.

Conducts field missions by delivering substantive and administrative assistance, collecting data, and performing related duties.

Coordinates budget funding activities, which include program and project preparation and submissions, progress reporting, and financial statement preparation, as well as the creation of supporting documents and reports such as pledging documentation, work programs, and program budgets.

The role involves delivering strategic leadership and expert guidance in technical planning, architectural design, and engineering implementation for infrastructure initiatives operating in crisis, recovery, and fragile environments within humanitarian-development nexus projects.

Support the gathering and evaluation of data, discern trends or patterns, and produce preliminary insights through graphs, charts, tables, and reports via data visualization techniques to enhance data-driven planning, decision-making, presentation, and reporting efforts.

Carries out additional responsibilities as assigned, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with organizational needs.

Education

An advanced academic qualification, such as a Master’s degree or equivalent, in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a closely related discipline is a prerequisite for this role.

A first-level university degree supplemented by two (2) years of relevant professional experience may be considered an acceptable substitute for the advanced university degree.

Completion of degree and nondegree programs in data analytics, business analytics, or data science is strongly preferred.

We seek a candidate with relevant professional experience in the field. The ideal applicant will have a proven track record of success in similar roles, demonstrating expertise and adaptability. Specific industry experience is preferred, though not mandatory, provided the individual can quickly acclimate to the demands of the position. Prior achievements should include quantifiable results where applicable, showcasing the ability to deliver measurable outcomes. Additionally, familiarity with industry-standard tools, methodologies, or best practices will be highly regarded. Candidates must be able to effectively collaborate within a team while also working independently to meet deadlines and objectives. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential for long-term success in this role.

A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in urban development, planning, and design is required, with demonstrated proficiency in supporting the management of programs and projects.

Proficiency in establishing documentation standards, guidelines, and performance metrics for extensive projects is essential.

Proficiency in developing diverse written materials, such as initial drafts of background papers, analytical reports, report sections, and study contributions, as well as inputs for publications, is advantageous.

Desired experience includes policy development, encompassing the examination and assessment of pertinent issues and trends, as well as the drafting of evaluations or conducting research-related activities and studies.

A minimum of two years of relevant experience in data analytics or a closely related field is preferred.

Experience in multicultural settings, particularly within large organizations, is preferred.
