Working collaboratively with admissions, registration, and billing departments, verify that clients adhere to operational guidelines consistently across all service points.
To ensure seamless operations, disseminate updates regarding suspended accounts as well as revised operational guidelines to the admissions, registration, and billing teams.
Review insurance cover limits for both insurance-paid and company-paid patients, and initiate requests for extensions when necessary. In cases where a patient’s bill exceeds the established threshold, promptly seek interim payment from the relevant corporate entity.
Consistently manage and allocate resources for all received receipts to maintain operational efficiency and accuracy.
Diligently oversee patient billing processes and promptly provide counsel to patients or their next of kin regarding financial matters.
Liaising with the billing department regarding invoiced items returned for credit control purposes and managing those invoices accordingly.
Monthly client statements are generated and dispatched on a consistent basis.
Monitor and secure timely payment of hospital funds in accordance with established deadlines by consistently meeting monthly collection targets.
Secure all documentation necessary to validate payments made by the company for incurred expenses.
Monthly gatherings will be scheduled with corporate clients to reconcile accounts and update the Credit Manager – Corporate on progress.
Ensure that client queries are promptly addressed and maintain a filing system for correspondence, with appropriate bring forward arrangement to ensure timely follow up.
Evaluate ongoing debt collection performance and contribute insights to the establishment of updated targets.
Prepare and submit a daily collection report, along with a monthly analysis of outstanding items, to the Credit Manager-Corporate within a 120-day period.
Offer strategic insights on corporate clients’ perspectives regarding Hospital services to the Credit Manager.
Engage in departmental quality enhancement projects and submit necessary reports to relevant stakeholders when requested.
Required qualifications for the position include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in software development or a closely related discipline. Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Java, Python, and C++, is essential. Candidates must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. Familiarity with agile development methodologies, version control systems like Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is highly desirable. Additionally, excellent communication skills and the capacity to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are required.
A Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.
CPA II or ARCA II certification is required, with preference given to professionals who hold either credential. Applicants must possess at least two years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, demonstrating competence in financial reporting, auditing, and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
