Position Summary
The Program Officer will provide essential support for the execution, coordination, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement efforts across multiple initiatives at Alone Initiative. This role will involve leading the “Transforming Helmet Safety in Kenya: From Regulation to Market Compliance” project, which seeks to enhance motorcycle helmet safety regulations, strengthen compliance frameworks, and improve institutional coordination throughout Kenya. In addition to spearheading this initiative, the officer will contribute to the implementation of other Alone projects. The position will require active involvement in policy discussions, technical consultations, stakeholder coordination, research initiatives, monitoring and evaluation activities, and engagement with government bodies, development partners, transport stakeholders, and civil society organizations. Candidates should possess a strong background in project coordination, hands-on experience in policy or governance-focused programming, and a proven commitment to road safety, transport governance, public policy, standards compliance, or sustainable mobility.
