The monthly salary range is structured as follows: KSS. 34,420 for 1,300 units, Kshs. 35,720 for 1,380 units, Kshs. 37,100 for 1,390 units, Kshs. 38,490 for 1,460 units, Kshs. 39,950 for 1,470 units, Kshs. 41,420 for 1,470 units, Kshs. 42,890 for 1,520 units, Kshs. 44,410 for 1,710 units, and KSS. 46,120 for the highest tier.

Performs a range of duties and responsibilities encompassing the planning, coordination, and execution of [specific tasks or projects relevant to the role]. Facilitates communication between teams to ensure alignment on objectives and timelines. Monitors progress through established metrics and provides regular updates to stakeholders. Identifies potential challenges and implements proactive solutions to mitigate risks. Collaborates with cross-functional departments to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. This role represents the initial position and foundational training stage within this organization. Officers at this level will operate under the direction and oversight of a more experienced officer.

County Headquarters: The main administrative center for county operations, where key county officials and departments are located. It serves as the central hub for county governance, public services, and community engagement initiatives. Employees based here work collaboratively across various departments to ensure efficient delivery of county programs and policies. The headquarters plays a vital role in maintaining county infrastructure, managing resources, and supporting the needs of residents and stakeholders.

At this level, the role encompasses a broad spectrum of administrative and operational responsibilities, including executing general administrative tasks, coordinating the enforcement of county regulations, and safeguarding county government assets, facilities, and inventory. Additionally, the position involves managing infrastructure and facility upkeep, overseeing transportation logistics, and planning office accommodation arrangements. Responsibilities also extend to the procurement and maintenance of office equipment and furniture, as well as organizing and facilitating meetings, conferences, and other special events. Furthermore, the role requires supervising the routine maintenance of buildings and furnishings to ensure optimal functionality and adherence to standards.

Field administration involves overseeing and managing field operations to ensure efficient execution of tasks, adherence to policies, and alignment with organizational objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate resources effectively. Responsibilities include supervising field teams, implementing operational procedures, resolving on-site challenges, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The position demands effective communication, problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive approach to optimizing field performance while ensuring safety and productivity.

The officer will report to and operate under the guidance of a senior officer while fulfilling a range of duties and responsibilities. This role involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, addressing public inquiries and concerns, and tracking the progress and outcomes of community initiatives. Additionally, the officer will coordinate local resource mobilization efforts, encourage resident engagement in development projects, and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards. Promoting ethical practices and the principles of good governance will also be a priority, alongside gathering and synthesizing data related to developmental activities. The officer will further collaborate with relevant parties to coordinate and facilitate public participation forums.

Requirements:

To qualify for appointment to this grade, an officer is required to meet the following criteria:

A bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development, or any related field within the Social Sciences, obtained from an accredited institution, is required.

Obtained a certificate in computer applications, demonstrating proficiency in essential software skills and digital tools.
