Job Description:
The Recycling staff’s daily operations—spanning mixed waste sorting, plastic sorting, glass sorting, pig food sorting, and baling—are supervised and managed effectively to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with established protocols.
A dedicated role is focused on organizing, overseeing, and optimizing attendance tracking and workforce scheduling, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with organizational requirements.
Ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards by implementing robust quality control measures for sorted materials.
Ensure strict compliance with all safety protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.
Monitor sorting operations vigilantly and implement strategic enhancements to drive peak efficiency while systematically reducing potential downtime.
Oversee the planning and allocation of forklifts to enhance efficiency in recycling operations.
Accurately document and maintain records pertaining to sorted materials, equipment utilization, and staff performance metrics.
Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations to uphold a secure working environment for all personnel.
Compose and deliver weekly performance reports along with other key OKR metrics for review and analysis.
Submit petty cash requests and ensure timely follow-up on approvals and payments.
Oversee inventory levels of materials while collaborating with the logistics team to ensure prompt removal and transportation.
Perform systematic assessments and evaluations of machinery and equipment to ensure operational integrity and compliance with established standards.
Compile and deliver periodic reports detailing plant operations, with a focus on productivity, efficiency, and ONE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) metrics.
Develop and deploy process control systems to ensure operational efficiency and consistency.
Collaborate closely with the engineering team to contribute to the design and installation of new equipment.
Leverage data insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize processes through comprehensive analysis and reporting.
Conduct comprehensive market research to explore potential applications and opportunities associated with both existing and new machinery.
Devise innovative strategies to repurpose currently underutilized material streams within the organization and the broader marketplace.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or information technology, coupled with at least three years of hands-on experience in a similar role. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++, along with a strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices. Additionally, excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset are essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and experience with DevOps practices are highly advantageous.
A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline is required.
With a minimum of three to five years of hands-on leadership in a manufacturing or processing environment, candidates should demonstrate proven supervisory capabilities.
