Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Recycling staff, which involve sorting mixed waste, plastics, glass, and materials designated for pig food, as well as operating the baling equipment.

The role involves organizing and overseeing attendance records, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of staff presence and participation. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, monitoring attendance compliance, and addressing any discrepancies to maintain efficient workforce management.

Establish and execute quality control protocols to verify that sorted materials comply with both company policies and regulatory requirements.

Diligently uphold all safety protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.

Monitor and enhance sorting operations to achieve optimal efficiency while minimizing potential disruptions to workflow.

Coordinate the allocation and scheduling of forklifts to facilitate efficient recycling operations.

Maintain precise documentation of sorted materials, equipment utilization, and staff performance metrics.

Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols to uphold a secure and compliant workplace environment.

Compile and deliver weekly reports detailing performance metrics and other key objectives and key results (OKRs) for review.

Submit petty cash requests and ensure timely follow-up on approvals and disbursements.

Oversee inventory levels of materials and liaise with the logistics team to ensure prompt removal and transportation.

Perform routine evaluations and assessments of machinery and systems to ensure compliance with established standards and operational protocols.

Compile and file periodic reports summarizing plant operations, covering key performance indicators such as productivity, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (ONE) metrics.

Design and deploy process control systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency and adherence to established protocols.

Collaborate closely with the engineering team to develop and implement new equipment designs and installations.

Leverage data to inform strategic decisions and optimize operational processes.

Conduct comprehensive market research to evaluate the potential applications and opportunities presented by both existing and newly acquired machinery.

Develop innovative strategies to repurpose underutilized material streams both internally within the organization and externally within the market.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in a related discipline. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and exceptional communication abilities are also required.
