This project is designed to enhance the adoption and utilization of critical lifesaving interventions for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of pre-eclampsia and maternal anemia—conditions that significantly contribute to maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality in resource-constrained environments.

This position will deliver specialized technical leadership in maternal, newborn, and child health, encompassing the development of project interventions, implementation research, quality of care frameworks, and quality assurance systems. The Advisor will integrate MNCH clinical care models and critical technical considerations into the planning, adaptation, implementation, and assessment of care delivery models across all project countries.

The MNCH Technical Advisor will collaborate extensively with the Program Manager, MERL Manager, Consortium partners, country teams, and Unities to ensure cohesive implementation of project objectives.

Responsibilities include overseeing key operational tasks, managing team performance, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and strong leadership capabilities. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to company policies, and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality. Proficiency in relevant software and tools, as well as compliance with industry regulations, are essential. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, adaptability to changing priorities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to provide strategic direction and mentor teams toward achieving complex engineering objectives. This role requires an individual with extensive experience in software development or systems architecture, coupled with a proven ability to guide cross-functional teams through innovation and high-impact projects. The successful candidate will oversee technical decision-making, foster collaboration across departments, and ensure alignment with organizational goals while maintaining scalable and efficient solutions. Additionally, they will drive process improvements, champion best practices, and cultivate a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire teams while influencing stakeholders at all levels are essential.

Offer specialized technical guidance and leadership in maternal and newborn health, encompassing global and consortium standards, evidence-based protocols, and best practices.

Lead the development and execution of person-centered models of care for maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) services, specifically addressing pre-eclampsia and maternal anemia.

Contribute expert technical insights to the development of products and services focused on pre-eclampsia and maternal anemia, encompassing both diagnostic solutions and therapeutic intervention pathways.

Facilitate the implementation of forward-thinking service delivery models such as group antenatal care, midwifery-led care structures, integrated care networks, and streamlined referral pathways to enhance patient-centered outcomes.

Ensure that MNCH clinical models of care and technical clinical considerations are comprehensively integrated into the design, adaptation, implementation, and evaluation phases of projects across all countries.

Assist country teams in adapting global and national Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) clinical guidance to practical, locally tailored service delivery models.

Collaborate with country-specific teams to develop, customize, implement, and enhance clinical care models for pre-eclampsia and maternal anemia, establishing well-defined clinical pathways, provider responsibilities, quality benchmarks, and patient-centered care principles.

Develop and implement frameworks to ensure high standards of care, while establishing robust mechanisms to support quality assurance in all project countries.

Deliver expert technical support to strengthen health system prerequisites, address workforce demands, assess facility preparedness, and optimize service delivery frameworks essential for the effective provision of MNCH products and services.

Offer specialized technical expertise in Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) to contribute to the design of implementation research protocols, the development of data collection tools, and the formulation of key learning questions. Additionally, provide guidance on data collection methodologies, the analysis and interpretation of findings, and the adaptation of interventions based on research outcomes.

Collaborate closely with the MERL Manager to enhance MNCH indicators, quality-of-care metrics, and implementation outcomes, ensuring alignment with established global frameworks, including EWEN metrics.

Drive community demand for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) services by fostering engagement and strengthening connections with high-quality service delivery and referral systems.

Analyze MNCH implementation bottlenecks, clinical quality gaps, and health system constraints, then assist country teams in leveraging data for informed learning, targeted course correction, and sustained quality improvement initiatives.

To uphold alignment with both national and global Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) agendas, as well as national guidelines, clinical standards, and best practices.

Analyze and contribute technical expertise to project plans, documentation, and final outputs to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
