The Elementary School Homeroom Teaching Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing student learning, wellbeing, and classroom efficiency by partnering with teachers and contributing directly to instruction, supervision, and individualized student support. In all roles, ISK Teaching Assistants create inclusive learning environments that prioritize belonging, equity, justice, and holistic wellbeing for every learner. The ideal candidate must meet the following essential qualifications, possess the required skills, and demonstrate the following qualities.

A Bachelor’s or Diploma in Education is required for this position.

Preferred candidates will possess Special Education certification or relevant training.

Requires at least two years of hands-on experience supporting students and partnering effectively with educators.

Fluent in English with exceptional abilities in mathematics, reading, writing, and communication.

Proficiency in utilizing technology and web-based applications is essential for this role.
