Role Description
This position is a full-time, on-site role for a Student Admission Officer stationed in Nairobi, responsible for guiding prospective students through every stage of the admissions process. The Officer will address inquiries, share detailed program information, and facilitate campus tours or information sessions to support applicants.
This position entails evaluating applications, validating documentation, and collaborating with academic and administrative departments to facilitate efficient admission processes. The officer will ensure precise record-keeping of leads and applicants, conduct follow-ups with prospective students, and assist in both domestic and international recruitment initiatives.
Additionally, the role involves engaging in outreach events, education fairs, and school visits, all while delivering a warm and professional experience to applicants and their families.
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Minimum of 5 years experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or strategic planning. Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills essential. Excellent communication and presentation abilities required. Experience with ERP systems and data visualization tools preferred. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
Exceptional ability to establish meaningful connections with prospective students, parents, and internal stakeholders through effective interpersonal communication.
Proficiency or hands-on experience in managing international admissions procedures and fostering cross-cultural interactions is required.
Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in both verbal and written communication, essential for delivering impactful presentations, conducting insightful consultations, and maintaining clear follow-up correspondence.
Demonstrated expertise in customer service, emphasizing promptness, professional conduct, and a commitment to supporting students.
Demonstrates a background or keen interest in the education sector, with a particular focus on student recruitment.
A bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Communications, or a related discipline—or equivalent professional experience—is required for this position.
Capable of performing full-time duties on-site in Nairobi while effectively balancing multiple tasks and consistently meeting established admissions’ deadlines.
Familiarity with essential office software and student information systems or CRM platforms is required; prior experience in admissions or counseling is beneficial.
