Job Summary

A tax advisor role is available within the People Advisory Services, specifically within the Tax sub-service line. The ideal candidate must possess a strong grasp of taxation and exhibit proficiency in addressing technical tax matters impacting expatriates, local employees, and individuals. The successful applicant will proactively recognize and address technical challenges, delivering tailored and effective solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

A minimum of upper second-class honors or equivalent in a Bachelor’s degree within a Business or Finance discipline is required.

A degree or certification in accounting, such as ARCA, CPA, or CA, would be highly beneficial.

Demonstrated expertise of no less than three years with a distinguished tax advisory firm, specializing in comprehensive expatriate tax solutions for large multinational corporations. Proficiency encompasses tax calculations for expatriates, adherence to social security regulations, strategic guidance on the implications of international assignments and short-term cross-border relocations, equity compensation taxation, as well as managing the interplay between international tax frameworks, immigration protocols, and expatriate tax compliance obligations.

Applicants must have attained a minimum overall grade of B in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) examination, along with a B in both English and Mathematics.

Proficient in tax and social security legislation, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Proven expertise in utilizing tax and engaging with the Kenya Revenue Authority.

Skilled in information technology and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
