Job Purpose

The Supply Chain Assistant will support the Bank in fulfilling its strategic objectives by developing and maintaining streamlined, high-performing procurement systems for the acquisition of goods, works, and services, as well as asset disposal processes.

Job Specification

Responsible for procuring goods, works, and services in compliance with established procurement regulations and legal requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing and submitting purchase orders for goods and services for authorization.

Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with suppliers to guarantee the punctual provision of necessary goods and services.

Responsibilities include overseeing the compilation and periodic revision of the roster of prequalified suppliers to ensure accuracy and currency.

Conducting market surveys to guarantee optimal value for money for DBK.

Maintaining the secure and organized custody of all procurement records is essential.

Engaging in the initial quoting process is a key responsibility.

Responsible for procuring and distributing stationery and various office supplies to employees at Head Office as well as all branch locations.

Assisting with additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, as needed, from time to time.

Person Specification

Candidates seeking appointment to this position must meet the following criteria:

A relevant qualification in Procurement and Logistics Management or an equivalent field is required.

A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in a Supply Chain Assistant role or an equivalent position is required.

Associate membership with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISS) is required.

Holds a recognized certification in computer proficiency awarded by an accredited institution.

Demonstrates advanced computer skills with a strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Achieved quantifiable results in prior professional roles. Displayed consistent excellence in work and productivity. Proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes in past employment.
