Job Purpose

The Supply Chain Assistant will support the Bank in fulfilling its strategic objectives by establishing and maintaining streamlined, high-performing systems for the procurement of goods, works, and services, as well as the disposal of assets.

Job Specification

Responsible for procuring goods, works, and services in accordance with established procurement regulations.

Drafting purchase orders for goods and services pending authorization.

Establish and maintain productive relationships with suppliers to guarantee the punctual arrival of goods and services.

Maintaining and updating the list of prequalified suppliers.

Assisting in undertaking market surveys to ensure that DBK obtains value for money.

Maintaining secure custody of all procurement records is essential to ensure their integrity and confidentiality.

Engage in the preparation and submission of initial price quotations as part of the procurement process.

We ensure the provision of stationery and other essential supplies to employees across Head Office and all branch locations.

Assisting with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed from time to time.

Person Specification

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

A diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management or an equivalent qualification in a related discipline is required.

A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a Supply Chain Assistant role or an equivalent position is required.

Active membership with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISS) is required.

A recognized institution must have issued a certificate demonstrating computer proficiency.

The candidate must demonstrate strong computer skills and comprehensive proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Achieved measurable success in prior roles, consistently delivering high-performance outcomes.

Fulfillment of the constitutional obligations outlined in Chapter Six is required.
