Girls Not Brides is looking for a seasoned Head of Impact and Strategy Performance to spearhead the organization’s monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) and impact function. In this leadership role within the Learning, Evidence, and Impact Directorate, you will supervise the Impact team while collaborating closely with the Director to refine the organization’s strategic vision. This includes overseeing monitoring strategy performance against our results framework and impact measurement. Your responsibility will be to ensure Girls Not Brides has the necessary systems, tools, evidence, data, and narratives to effectively showcase progress toward our strategic goals.

You will lead the development and implementation of robust MEAL systems and strategic planning processes, fostering collaboration across teams to guarantee our initiatives are impactful, strategically aligned, and results-driven. Additionally, you will oversee reporting mechanisms, ensuring outcomes are systematically tracked, communicated, and leveraged to guide critical decision-making. Your role will also involve strengthening organizational MEAL and performance frameworks, with a focus on producing and disseminating clear, credible, and persuasive evidence of our impact to key stakeholders.

We are seeking a skilled Contract Manager to oversee the negotiation, execution, and administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal standards. This role requires a minimum of five years of experience in contract management or a related field, along with strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and approving contracts, identifying and mitigating risks, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, they will collaborate with legal, procurement, and business teams to align contracts with strategic objectives and resolve any disputes that may arise. Proficiency in contract management software and a thorough understanding of contract law are essential.

This fixed-term agreement spans a duration of two years.

The ideal candidate must possess the legal authorization to work in their country of residence—Kenya, India, or the United Kingdom—throughout the entire duration of the two-year contract.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the strategic direction of Girls Not Brides, overseeing performance and measuring impact with precision and clarity.

Develop and oversee the organization’s MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) and impact measurement framework, ensuring full alignment with strategic objectives.

Responsible for establishing, deploying, and refining MEAL systems, tools, and processes enterprise-wide, guaranteeing their resilience, alignment, and uniform application.

Oversee the meticulous collection, analysis, and reporting of high-quality data across all projects, programs, and organizational initiatives to facilitate evidence-based decision-making and adaptive programming.

Oversee organisational evaluations and impact assessments, ensuring methodological rigour and relevance.

Collaborating closely with the Head of Research, Evidence and Learning, your role involves facilitating the seamless integration of evidence and learning into organizational planning, performance management, and strategic decision-making, while cultivating a culture of ongoing learning and enhancement.

Oversee strong coordination between portfolio management, MEAL, and organisational performance frameworks.

Oversee the development and execution of organizational strategic plans, monitor performance metrics, and prepare comprehensive reports to ensure alignment with goals and objectives.

Orchestrate the yearly organizational planning cycle, guaranteeing alignment with strategic objectives and fostering cross-team cohesion.

Assist the Director of Learning, Evidence, and Impact in developing and advancing the organization’s strategy for data-driven decision-making.

Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership regarding performance trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization’s strategy.

Responsible for managing organizational reporting functions, this role encompasses the development of periodic progress reports for senior leadership and the Board of Trustees, in addition to donor and annual reporting obligations.

Ensure the creation and implementation of strong, reliable portfolio management systems and processes that fulfill donor commitments in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.

Craft compelling narratives and communications that effectively convey the organization’s impact and achievements to diverse audiences. Develop and execute strategic messaging initiatives to highlight the results and significance of the organization’s work. Create engaging content that resonates with stakeholders, donors, and the broader community. Ensure consistency in messaging across all platforms and materials. Collaborate with teams to gather insights and data that inform impactful storytelling.

Collaborate closely with the Impact, Development, and Communications teams to produce consistent, high-quality impact communications for stakeholders.

Oversee the creation of the annual Impact Report and key contributions to the Trustees Annual Report, ensuring the document presents strong evidence, compelling insights, and transparent organizational accountability.

Craft compelling impact stories, case studies, and data-driven insights to effectively communicate the organization’s progress and drive change among donors, partners, members, and the Board.

Demonstrated expertise in guiding, motivating, and overseeing teams to achieve organizational objectives with efficiency and cohesion.

Provide strategic direction and oversight for a globally distributed impact team, establishing precise shared and individual performance objectives aligned with both team and organizational goals.

Promote collaboration across diverse cultures, geographies, and time zones while fostering professional growth, care, inclusion, and overall wellbeing.
