Job Summary

The Solutions Consultant role represents a progressive evolution of the Sales Engineering position, focusing on optimizing how we deliver value to customers by assessing their environments, offering tailored solution guidance, and ensuring measurable returns on their investment with Palo Alto Networks. In this capacity, you will provide strategic technical leadership and expertise throughout your customers’ security transformation initiatives. Your primary responsibility will involve designing and implementing technical solutions that align with critical business objectives while driving tangible value from their partnership with Palo Alto Networks. Additionally, you will champion our industry-leading capabilities in on-premises, cloud, and security operations services, solidifying Palo Alto Networks as the trusted cybersecurity partner of choice for our customers.

Conducting in-depth discovery sessions to clearly identify and communicate the primary technical, operational, and commercial priorities of prospects and customers.

Collaborating effectively with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams to facilitate seamless customer implementation and adoption of solutions.

Demonstrates exceptional communication abilities by delivering persuasive presentations and tailored customer demonstrations, while leading engaging technical workshops and engagements. Ensures clarity and impact in every interaction, adeptly distilling intricate concepts into accessible insights for diverse audiences.

Directing technical validation initiatives in alignment with industry best practices to secure a technical advantage in designated pursuits.

Demonstrates cross-functional leadership by fostering collaboration and coordinating supporting resources—such as specialists, channel representatives, and customer support—to establish a unified, cohesive strategy across the team.

Delivering comprehensive solutions that integrate Palo Alto Networks (PAN) offerings and/or partner professional services to help customers achieve business value more rapidly.

Proactively analyzing the competitive environment enables PAN to strategically highlight its unmatched expertise and innovation in the cybersecurity sector.

Continuously advancing your technical and professional expertise ensures your contributions increasingly enhance our customers’ success, while actively engaging with the Solutions Consultant community and industry events further strengthens your impact.

Proactively engaging with technical stakeholders and nurturing partnerships with critical decision-makers to develop and execute a comprehensive security architecture transformation roadmap.

Qualifications

With a minimum of six years of hands-on experience in pre-sales and sales engineering roles, you bring a proven track record of driving technical solutions and fostering client relationships to the forefront of your expertise.

Proficient in one or more of the following domains: Networking, Network Security, Cybersecurity, Private/Public Cloud Security, SOC/Endpoint, or SASE.

Preferred candidates will have a proven track record of implementing cybersecurity solutions that effectively address complex technical issues while driving forward new business strategies. Strong abilities in engaging and securing support from critical stakeholders—whether in external client interactions or internal settings—are essential, with prior pre-sales experience highly advantageous.

Crafting and presenting technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements constitutes a key responsibility of this role.

Professional candidates should possess hands-on experience in selling, designing, implementing, or managing solutions such as Network Security, SASE, SaaS, KNAPP, or technologies focused on SOC Transformation.

Collaborating closely with Customer Support teams, we will facilitate the seamless integration and adoption of implemented solutions to ensure their success.

Preferred candidates will have a proven track record in navigating intricate sales engagements, particularly those characterized by extended sales cycles and the involvement of multiple decision-making units, as well as the ability to effectively promote and sell integrated multi-product solutions.

This role entails extensive travel to facilitate face-to-face customer engagements, with specific itineraries to be reviewed directly with the hiring manager.
