Job Summary
Rivet Software & Systems LTD seeks a proactive and dependable Onsite Technician to enhance our expanding team. This role encompasses providing onsite technical support, performing system installations and maintenance, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and delivering assistance to customers regarding our software and hardware solutions.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, including strategic planning, project management oversight, and cross-functional team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering professional development and a high-performance culture. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with broader company strategies, ensuring seamless integration and execution. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while driving innovation and continuous process optimization. Deliver onsite technical assistance and resolve system issues through comprehensive troubleshooting methods.
Install, deploy, configure, and ensure the ongoing functionality of both software and hardware systems.
Provides assistance to clients in configuring systems and resolving user-related inquiries.
Diagnose and remediate technical issues swiftly and effectively.
Perform regular maintenance and system inspections to ensure optimal functionality and reliability at all times.
Provide user training and support on system operations as required.
Prepare technical documentation and progress reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity in conveying complex information. This role involves compiling and disseminating updates to stakeholders, summarizing findings, and maintaining organized records of project developments. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in technical writing are essential for effectively communicating intricate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining clear and professional communication with clients.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ with at least 5 years of hands-on development experience.
* Minimum 3 years of expertise in building scalable software systems, including distributed systems or microservices.
* Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures for efficient problem-solving.
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including deployment and management.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and Agile methodologies.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* Ability to design, develop, and maintain high-quality, maintainable code while adhering to best practices.
* Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
* Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and serverless architectures is a plus.
* Commitment to writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or a comparable discipline is required.
A fundamental comprehension of computer systems, networking principles, and software maintenance is essential.
