Job Summary

The Solutions Consultant represents an advanced iteration of the Sales Engineering function, designed to enhance how we support customers in comprehending their operational landscape, delivering tailored solution recommendations, and guaranteeing the realization of value from their investment in Palo Alto Networks. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, offering strategic expertise and guidance throughout the customer’s security modernization journey. Central to your responsibilities is the development of innovative technical solutions that align with the customer’s critical business objectives while ensuring the full realization of their investment in Palo Alto Networks. Additionally, you will champion our market-leading capabilities in on-premises, cloud, and security operations services, reinforcing Palo Alto Networks as the preferred cybersecurity partner for our customers.

Demonstrates exceptional communication abilities, driving influence through compelling presentations and tailored customer-specific demonstrations, while leading technical engagements and workshops that are both clear and impactful, effectively distilling intricate concepts for diverse audiences.

Spearheading technical validation initiatives in accordance with industry best practices to secure a favorable technical outcome in designated opportunities.

Demonstrates strong cross-functional leadership by fostering collaboration and coordinating supporting resources—including specialists, channel teams, and customer support—to ensure a unified, cohesive strategy that embodies a one-team mindset.

Delivering comprehensive, end-to-end solutions—leveraging Palo Alto Networks (PAN) offerings and/or complementary partner professional services to accelerate customers’ realization of business value—is the core objective of this role.

To gain a comprehensive view of the competitive environment and to clearly articulate PAN’s distinctive advantages in the cybersecurity sector, candidates must demonstrate strategic insight and market awareness.

Technical stakeholders must be identified and engaged while cultivating strong relationships with critical personas to develop and execute a strategic security architecture transformation roadmap.

Seeking a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, with expertise in Python, Java, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment are essential. Responsibilities include designing, coding, and testing software solutions, optimizing system performance, and troubleshooting technical issues.

With a minimum of six years of hands-on experience in pre-sales or sales engineering roles, you bring a proven track record of technical expertise and client engagement to drive successful sales outcomes. Your background includes a deep understanding of complex solutions, enabling you to effectively communicate value propositions, address technical inquiries, and collaborate with internal teams to align offerings with customer needs.

Professionals should possess expertise in one or more of the following domains: Networking, Network Security, Cybersecurity, Private/Public Cloud Security, SOC/Endpoint, or SASE.

A background in implementing cybersecurity solutions that effectively address technical challenges and drive forward new business initiatives is highly advantageous. Demonstrating the ability to engage and secure support from key stakeholders—whether in a client-facing or internal capacity—is essential, with prior experience in a pre-sales function being particularly beneficial.

Developing and conducting technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements is a key responsibility of this role.

Professionals with a track record in the sales, design, implementation, or management of Network Security, SASE, SaaS, KNAPP, and/or SOC Transformation solutions are encouraged to apply.

Collaborating closely with Customer Support teams, we aim to facilitate the seamless integration and widespread adoption of the solutions we deliver.

Proficiency in handling intricate sales engagements characterized by protracted cycles, engagement with numerous decision-making entities, and the offering of comprehensive multi-product solutions is highly valued.

This role involves extensive field sales responsibilities, which may include travel to facilitate in-person customer engagements; specific travel expectations will be clarified by the recruiter during the hiring process.
