Job Summary

The tax advisor role is based within People Advisory Services, specifically within the Tax sub-service line. Candidates must possess a strong grasp of tax principles and exhibit proficiency in tax technical matters impacting expatriates, local employees, and individuals. They should proactively recognize and address potential technical challenges while delivering effective solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of upper second-class honors or an equivalent qualification.

A professional accounting qualification, such as ARCA, CPA, or CA, would be highly beneficial.

With a minimum of three years of hands-on experience at a distinguished tax service provider, you will have managed complex tax matters for large multinational corporations across all facets of expatriate taxation. Your background will encompass tax computation for expatriates, adherence to social security regulations, strategic guidance on the implications of international assignments and short-term cross-border relocations, as well as the taxation of equity compensation. Additionally, you will bring expertise in navigating the interplay between international tax frameworks, immigration protocols, and expatriate tax compliance.

You must have achieved a minimum overall grade of B in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) examination, including a B in both English and Mathematics.

Proficient in tax and social security legislation, with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in utilizing tax and engaging with the Kenya Revenue Authority is required.

Skilled in information technology and adept with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
