Africa Institute is now seeking applications from highly qualified, motivated, and forward-thinking professionals who possess a demonstrated history of excellence to fill the role of Perioperative Theatre Technology Trainer.

Qualification

Must have

A recognized institution must award a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Registered Nurse credential issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).

A minimum of three years of hands-on training experience within a comparable institution is required.

THETA-registered Technical Trainer certification is mandatory for this role.

Key duties encompass delivering exceptional support to clients, efficiently resolving inquiries, and ensuring seamless service delivery. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, maintaining accurate records of interactions, and adhering to established policies and procedures.

Plan and deliver the assigned units in accordance with the established course curriculum and the detailed course outline.

The role involves creating educational resources, ensuring professional documentation is completed and submitted promptly, and maintaining records to track student progress, accomplishments, and attendance.

Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring personalized educational strategies are effectively delivered.

Evaluates student work and tracks academic progress to ensure comprehension and identify areas needing additional support.

Participate in the course review process and modify delivery methods to align with student requirements.

Examining and grading Trainees’ Assessment Tests (C.A. Ts) and end-of-term assessments, followed by the prompt uploading of marks into the designated Management Information System (MIS) for the assigned units.

Deliver hands-on guidance to trainees and oversee the compilation and organization of their evidence portfolios.

Overseeing students throughout assessment sessions to ensure adherence to established protocols and standards.

Assist in the design, development, and execution of a rigorous and well-structured academic curriculum to ensure optimal learning outcomes for students.

Attends and contributes to departmental meetings as required.
