The NOURISH coordination team seeks an experienced Senior MEAL Advisor to spearhead investment and country-level MEAL structures, encompassing the creation of the Performance Measurement Framework (PMF), strategic MEAL planning, and the formulation of the learning agenda and corresponding learning strategy for the investment.

This position will provide support to technical assistance partners to enhance government monitoring and data systems at the country level, establishing a foundation for informed, results-based decision-making and sustainable success. The role prioritizes long-term sustainability and country-level impact, while also ensuring accountability toward broader investment outcomes.

The Senior MEAL Advisor will collaborate with the Information Management & Reporting Officer, the Senior Consortium and Project Director, and the Technical Assistance Partners (Taps) to enhance the application of routine information systems and ensure rigorous measurement of investment-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This includes evaluating the quality and reliability of the indicators, tools, and measurement methodologies integrated into national systems. The KPIs will serve as benchmarks to guide partners in optimizing the use and improvement of routine government data and monitoring frameworks. The role will be executed through continuous support to Taps, who maintain close engagement with country governments. A central focus will be strengthening government-owned monitoring and data systems to ensure sustainability and to facilitate more informed decision-making at both national and subnational levels.

The Senior MEAL Advisor will lead efforts to enhance maternal nutrition data systems in Technical Assistance Partner countries through strategic leadership, technical expertise, and cross-functional coordination. This position will prioritize the advancement of standardized practices, data quality enhancement, system interoperability, and the effective utilization of data to foster greater accountability in maternal nutrition interventions, including Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) and Iron and Folic Acid (IFA) programs.

Design and implement a grant-level dashboard and analytics system to monitor progress against KPIs, while assisting country partners in leveraging visualizations and dashboards to enhance decision-making and adapt strategies effectively.
