To enhance the performance of Merck clients, this role involves overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly activities while executing planned initiatives to fulfill customer needs and achieve agreed-upon KPIs. The position also entails supervising safe and efficient operations, adhering to established guidelines to deliver defined outcomes for both the site and customers.

This position encompasses a comprehensive array of key duties and responsibilities.

To mitigate or eliminate health and safety risks, implement targeted actions and initiatives.

The team must adhere to established Safety Standards and all applicable guidelines to ensure compliance and mitigate risks effectively.

Develop and execute a Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program on a daily basis to ensure adherence to specified behaviors and processes.

Investigate and document workplace incidents while addressing or escalating any violations of safety regulations and established procedures.

Ensure adherence to established processes by maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory and local legal requirements. Promptly escalate potential risks, near misses, breakdowns, and accidents to your direct supervisors for immediate review and action.

Ensure frontline employees are fully informed about all pertinent DPDHL policies while consistently overseeing their adherence and application.

To safeguard the site premises, implement all necessary security measures to ensure the protection of personnel, DSC assets, and customer products within the designated area.

Comply with the DSC 6-Step security framework rigorously.

Conduct thorough assessments of all pertinent security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies, escalating proposed solutions to your line manager for approval when required.

Oversee the development and enforcement of current processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and related documentation to ensure the achievement of established outputs.

Regularly enhance existing procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in achieving established goals.

Regularly revise the operational training matrix or plan as needed to ensure alignment with evolving requirements.

Implement the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process, focusing specifically on critical nonconformities, by establishing and executing defined actions to mitigate recurrence and reduce the expenses associated with poor quality.

Collaborate with suppliers to ensure alignment with business needs, evaluate their performance consistently, and—when required—recommend enhancements to the line manager before executing the agreed-upon improvement initiatives.

Engage in customer, regulatory, and internal operational audits as needed, collaborating with the team to execute the agreed-upon action plan effectively.

Respond to customer inquiries or escalate issues promptly, adhering to established protocols, and propose effective solutions to resolve concerns.

Management will facilitate ongoing enhancement initiatives to drive continuous improvement across operations.

To facilitate ongoing enhancements, propose targeted local modifications that impact your work or team to your line manager, thereby contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Assist management by facilitating resource planning and oversight, including the implementation of established processes to evaluate performance, track absences and sick leave, and resolve issues in accordance with defined guidelines.

Process forecasted volumes through the RPM system, ensuring alignment with the resource plan while promptly addressing escalated issues in accordance with established guidelines to guarantee sufficient resources are available to meet projected demand.

The role involves assisting with recruitment initiatives, conducting performance appraisals, and managing disciplinary actions or exit procedures, while offering informed recommendations throughout each process.

Perform performance evaluations and provide coaching to all direct reports, subsequently submitting performance ratings for management review.

Executes assigned site plans within the designated operational area to ensure compliance with established guidelines and project specifications.

Track performance of personnel, machinery, and workflows while identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Develops and executes efficient reporting mechanisms to promptly identify and address underperformance, implementing necessary corrective measures to ensure sustained improvement.

Reports operational outcomes to relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational objectives. Delivers clear, concise updates on performance metrics, trends, and key insights to support data-driven decision-making at all levels. Facilitates understanding of operational efficiency and effectiveness through structured presentations, detailed reports, or real-time dashboards. About you

Qualified candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or Purchasing and Supply Management.

With a minimum of five years of experience in logistics, you will bring a wealth of practical knowledge and expertise to this role. Your background will enable you to efficiently manage supply chain operations, optimize transportation networks, and ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex logistical challenges will be essential in driving continuous improvement within the organization. Proficiency in logistics software and systems, along with excellent organizational and communication abilities, will further support your success in this position.

Experienced in managing finances and budgets for a minimum of one year, with a proven ability to oversee financial planning, allocation of resources, and monitoring of expenditures. Skilled in analyzing financial data, preparing budget reports, and ensuring compliance with fiscal policies to support organizational goals.

Proficient in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite is essential, encompassing strong skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
