Position Summary
PA SGR is looking for an experienced Senior Communications Officer to spearhead corporate communications, public relations, digital engagement, and the organization’s visibility initiatives. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and will play a key role in enhancing program implementation, knowledge management, and resource mobilization through strategic communication efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Spearhead the formulation and execution of PA SGR’s Communications Strategy to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging across all platforms and stakeholders.
Oversee all aspects of corporate communications, branding initiatives, and public relations strategies to ensure cohesive messaging and a strong organizational presence. Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans across various channels to enhance brand reputation and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, manage media relations, craft press releases, and monitor public perception to align with company goals and industry standards.
Responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s website, digital platforms, and social media channels to ensure optimal performance, engagement, and brand consistency across all online touchpoints.
Oversee the development and production of publications, multimedia content, and documentation to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Enhance and expand connections with media outlets while fostering robust relationships with key stakeholders to amplify brand visibility and ensure effective communication strategies.
Assist in the development of fundraising strategies and execution of programmed-related communications to meet organizational objectives.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Candidates must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in software development, preferably with expertise in Java, Python, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cloud platforms is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset are necessary to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
A master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related discipline is required for this position.
With a minimum of eight years of experience in a comparable senior communications position, you will bring a wealth of expertise to this role.
Proficiency in crafting compelling narratives, creating engaging content, and producing dynamic multimedia assets is essential.
Experienced in leveraging digital platforms, driving media engagement, and executing strategic communication initiatives.
Fluent English communication skills are essential, with proficiency in French considered advantageous.
