Group Function Legal Affairs & Compliance (GALA) in EMEA delivers strategic guidance on commercial, regulatory, governance, and compliance issues, ensuring alignment with business objectives while safeguarding Ericsson’s interests and corporate reputation.

As Group Legal Counsel for the East & North Africa legal team, you will oversee and provide guidance on legal affairs spanning designated regions, encompassing commercial contracts, corporate and regulatory challenges, data protection, competition law, intellectual property, sanctions and trade controls, as well as dispute resolution. You will collaborate extensively with business and legal stakeholders to manage critical customer and supplier agreements, strategic alliances, corporate transactions, governance protocols, and advisory responsibilities.

As a member of the Customer Unit East & North Africa legal team, you will report directly to the Head of Legal for the Customer Unit East & North Africa. This role will be situated in one of the designated territories within the region.

What You’ll Do

Serve as a reliable legal advisor, delivering practical and strategic counsel that aligns with business goals and facilitates the successful completion of transactions.

Facilitate and provide guidance throughout high-stakes negotiations involving intricate customer, supplier, and partnership agreements.

Identify, evaluate, and reduce legal and operational risks to support strategic growth and organizational transformation initiatives.

Provide strategic guidance on corporate governance, regulatory adherence, competition law, data security, intellectual property rights, and trade regulations to ensure organizational compliance and operational integrity.

Develop and maintain robust connections across diverse business units, functional areas, and global regions to enhance collaboration and promote openness.

Facilitate capability development by offering coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing sessions, as well as implementing best-practice initiatives.

Foster an inclusive, high-performing, and collaborative team environment where every member contributes to shared success.

What You’ll Bring

A seasoned attorney with a minimum of seven years of professional experience, having practiced within a prestigious law firm or a multinational corporate legal department.

Proven expertise in navigating commercial, corporate, regulatory, and compliance landscapes is essential.

Skilled in facilitating intricate contract management, strategic negotiations, and international business operations.

Strong business insight with a keen aptitude for aligning legal considerations with strategic commercial goals.

Proven ability to communicate effectively, negotiate with confidence, and manage relationships with key stakeholders.

Demonstrates the capacity to operate autonomously while effectively engaging and persuading key decision-makers across varied organizational settings.

A background in the technology or telecommunications industry is beneficial.
