Job Summary: –
Duties involve delivering independent and objective assurance as well as consulting services aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness and overall performance within the Bank.
Oversee critical operational duties, including the management of daily processes, adherence to compliance standards, and the implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align goals, resolve challenges, and ensure seamless workflow across departments. Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend data-driven improvements to optimize productivity and service quality. Lead project execution from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while mitigating risks. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement through mentorship, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Collaborate in the development and execution of the annual audit plan to ensure comprehensive coverage and alignment with organizational objectives.
Plan and execute audits in alignment with established auditing standards to verify adherence to company policies, regulatory obligations, and industry best practices.
Observe engagement activities and document findings, subsequently proposing actionable solutions to rectify deficiencies, enhance operational efficiency, and minimize expenditures.
Support the development of audit programs and execute risk-focused audits across operational functions and activities.
Recommend the establishment of robust internal control frameworks and verification mechanisms designed to safeguard organizational assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate operational risks.
Conduct reviews to ensure the implementation of external auditors’ recommendations is progressing as planned.
Conduct audit investigations at the request of BAC and senior management as needed.
Assist in the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of the internal audit manual to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the preparation of audit reports, addressing queries, and documenting observations for thorough review and analysis.
Evaluate the effectiveness, robustness, and proper implementation of accounting, financial, and operational controls, while advocating for and advancing strong control measures.
To develop and execute audit plans aimed at verifying adherence to Bank policies, legal mandates, and optimal operational standards.
Execute duties as directed by management and the Board Audit Committee (BAC) as necessary.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Economics.
Required credentials include professional certifications such as a CPA, ARCA, or CISA.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with proficiency in preparing clear, concise, and accurate reports, are essential.
Proficiency in IT auditing principles is considered beneficial.

Analytical skills of the highest caliber—both qualitative and quantitative—are required to derive well-founded conclusions, alongside a strong grasp and correct utilization of sampling methodologies.
Requires meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential, including advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, as well as Internet navigation and email management.
Capable of undertaking travel throughout the branch network as required.
