Responsibilities at this level will encompass a range of essential duties, including:
Assisting in the formulation of human resource strategies, policies, and procedures is a key responsibility.
Compiling and validating data essential for accurate payroll execution.
Performing comprehensive training needs assessments and developing projections to effectively guide the design and implementation of training programs.
Offering comprehensive secretarial support to the Management Advisory Committee, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining organized records to facilitate effective decision-making processes.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date Human Resource records in a timely fashion is essential.
Formulating and executing human resource management decisions in accordance with established guidelines, policies, and operational frameworks.
Overseeing payroll processing and administration is a key responsibility, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all employees while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Compiling and generating reports that document the execution of performance management systems, specifically focusing on performance appraisals, is required.
Maintaining accurate records of staff training and development initiatives.
Person specification
An officer must meet specific qualifications to be appointed to this grade, including a comprehensive set of requirements and responsibilities that align with the position’s demands.
With over nine years of professional experience in human resources, including at least three of those years in a Senior Human Resource Management Officer role or an equivalent position within the Public Service or Private Sector, the candidate demonstrates extensive expertise and leadership in the field.
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution is required.
OR
A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Commerce is required, along with a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or an equivalent credential from an accredited institution.
Licensed by the Institute of Human Resource Management (HRM),
Holders of a Management Course certificate from a recognized institution are required.
Demonstrates advanced skills in utilizing computer applications effectively.
