POSITION SUMMARY
The Finance Assistant will facilitate NEAR’s financial operations in the Nairobi office by handling routine financial duties, such as drafting purchase orders, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies, internal procedures, and donor mandates. This position will play a key role in maintaining precise financial documentation, delivering timely reports, and providing streamlined assistance during audits and month-end closing procedures.

Minimum 1 year of experience within financial or accounting roles, with a focus on budgeting, reporting, and compliance measures. Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and the management of donor-specific budgets.
Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office applications and specialized financial analytics software with a high level of proficiency.
Seeking candidates with demonstrated expertise in donor budgeting and reporting, coupled with a fundamental comprehension of donor compliance regulations.
