Key Duties and Obligations include overseeing daily operational activities to ensure seamless workflow efficiency, managing cross-functional team collaboration to achieve project milestones, and maintaining strict adherence to established policies and procedures. Overseeing a compact product team consisting of three to five engineers, encompassing both backend and frontend specializations.

They dedicate 30% of their efforts to managerial responsibilities, while the remaining time is actively engaged in the team’s product development initiatives.

Participating in recruitment activities for their own team and potentially supporting colleagues in the hiring process.

In addition to participating in recruitment efforts, this role encompasses overseeing the seamless integration of newly hired engineers through the onboarding process.

Propose and implement agentic workflows from start to finish—spanning specification, planning, execution, and verification—to accelerate the delivery of results.

Develop modular agentic workflows and foundational components within the codebase, enabling teams to deploy them consistently across various domains.

Employ verification loops—including tests, checks, evaluations, and guardrails—to validate that outcomes are accurate, safeguarded, dependable, and capable of scaling effectively.

Requirements

Oversaw a team of engineers comprising a minimum of two members.

Seasoned professionals with deep expertise in backend development, particularly in Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby, or functional programming paradigms, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Practicals

You will report directly to the Engineering Manager, who will provide oversight and guidance for your role. This position involves regular communication and accountability to the Engineering Manager to ensure alignment with team objectives and project milestones. The Engineering Manager will be your primary point of contact for performance evaluations, feedback, and professional development opportunities.

The team comprises 2 to 5 engineers who report directly to this role, ensuring clear oversight and leadership alignment within the group.
