The position entails executing a range of practical duties and responsibilities on a day-to-day basis. Requirements consist of relevant experience in the field, proficiency in industry-specific tools or software, and excellent communication abilities to liaise effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include overseeing the complete spectrum of benefits administration, which entails managing medical insurance, pension plans, and welfare initiatives; overseeing enrollments, terminations, and benefit modifications; addressing employee inquiries and coordinating provider escalations; and collaborating with brokers, underwriters, and benefits providers to uphold service delivery standards. The role also encompasses conducting annual benefits reviews, monitoring utilization trends, and facilitating employee communications.

Overseeing occupational health and safety coordination involves serving as the primary contact for OH&S inquiries, managing pre-employment and routine medical assessments, processing FIBA claims, documenting injury reports and incident logs, and ensuring adherence to DISH reporting standards across all operational regions.

Overseeing the wellness and mobility support function involves organizing quarterly wellness initiatives, supervising gym and fitness provider partnerships, evaluating program effectiveness, and aiding employees with relocation and international assignment logistics. This includes coordinating visa applications, work permits, and immigration-related documentation to ensure seamless transitions.

This position is accountable for vendor management, ensuring SLA compliance via Fresh service or comparable systems, and overseeing the tracking of purchase orders and invoices. Additionally, it is responsible for developing and maintaining the reporting and dashboard infrastructure to enhance the visibility and continuous improvement of the function.

What we’re looking for

A strong background in HR operations, benefits administration, or HR Shared Services is required, with hands-on experience in employee benefits, occupational health coordination, or global mobility support—preferably within a multi-country setting.

Proficiency in Kenyan labor law, including the Work Injury Benefits Act (FIBA) 2007 and Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DISH) mandates, coupled with hands-on experience in occupational health initiatives or work injury management, complemented by a solid grasp of East African employment regulations.

A degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or Psychology (preferably at the Master’s level or with HR certification) is required, along with a strong aptitude for analysis and demonstrated expertise in leveraging HR data to enhance operational performance.
