A recognized qualification in insurance, such as a Diploma from AII or ACID, or the ongoing pursuit of either certification, is required.
Membership in the Insurance Institute of Kenya (INK) or a comparable professional organization is highly desirable.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of practical experience in medical underwriting, health insurance account management, or a comparable field is required.
Proficiency in overseeing corporate group schemes, encompassing renewal management and client servicing, is highly desirable.
Knowledge:
Experienced in the insurance sector, with a strong grasp of medical/health insurance products, policy frameworks, and benefit design strategies.
Proficient in medical loss ratio management, claims analysis, and underwriting principles for group medical schemes.
Proficiency in Kenyan Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) guidelines governing Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance is essential.
Proficiency in wellness program frameworks and chronic disease management principles (CDMP) is advantageous.
