JOB PURPOSE
This role involves supporting the strategic planning and daily operations to ensure the Business Development Function (General Business and Medical) operates effectively and efficiently for broker and tender opportunities. Additionally, the position is tasked with expanding existing broker accounts and overseeing the quality management of tender documentation.
Minimum qualifications require a combination of relevant knowledge and practical experience. Candidates must possess the necessary expertise to perform the role effectively, along with a proven track record in a similar position. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices is essential, as is the ability to apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios. Prior experience in a comparable role is mandatory, ensuring candidates can immediately contribute to the team’s success.
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of relevant experience and a degree in a related field. The ideal applicant will have demonstrated expertise in project management and proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential. The role requires a detail-oriented approach, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results within established deadlines.
A bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Public Relations, or another field within the Social Sciences is required for this position.
Qualified candidates must possess a Fellowship or ACID/AII credential, or alternatively, hold the esteemed designation of Chartered Marketer.
A minimum of four years of managerial experience is required.
Knowledge
Proficiency in both General and Medical insurance principles is essential.
Business development, underwriting, claims management, strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methodologies represent core operational functions within this role.
