JOB PURPOSE

This role involves supporting the strategic planning and daily operational execution of the Business Development Function, which encompasses both General Business and Medical sectors, as well as Broker and Tender Business. Additionally, the position is tasked with expanding assigned existing broker accounts and ensuring the quality management of tender documentation.

Requires a solid foundation in relevant knowledge and experience to perform effectively in the role. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in key areas through prior work or educational background. Essential skills and expertise should align with the demands of the position, ensuring capability to meet job obligations. Candidates need to possess the necessary qualifications to fulfill responsibilities competently.

Seeking a candidate with a relevant degree and a minimum of five years of progressive experience in a related field. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in industry-specific software, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Additionally, excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities are essential for success in this role.

A bachelor’s degree in commerce, public relations, or another relevant field within the social sciences is required for this position.

Qualified professionals holding either a Fellow or ACID/AII credential, or those recognized as Chartered Marketers, are sought after for this position.

Minimum of four years of managerial experience is required.

Knowledge

Individuals should possess extensive expertise in both General and Medical insurance domains.

Business development, underwriting, claims management, strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods are among the key areas of responsibility for this role. The position requires expertise in these domains, along with a strong ability to analyze data, evaluate risks, and implement efficient operational strategies. Additionally, the role involves overseeing financial performance, optimizing resource distribution, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
