Accurately record and process all daily journal entries to maintain the general ledger in an up-to-date status.
Prepare and submit all mandatory statutory returns promptly, including VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, SHIP, NSSF, and the Affordable Housing Levy through the KRA tax portal.
Conduct weekly and monthly reconciliations of bank, supplier, and customer statements to identify and address any discrepancies.
Oversee the processing of invoices, monitor client aging reports, pursue outstanding receivables, and coordinate supplier payment schedules.
Compile the monthly payroll with precision, ensuring accurate calculations of salaries, benefits, and all applicable deductions.
Provide support in compiling monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow projections for management’s evaluation.
Efficiently manage and maintain financial records and documentation to facilitate both internal and external annual audits.
Carry out any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management.

A minimum qualification of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Part 2 or its Intermediate Level equivalent is required. Candidates who are either CPA-K certified or have completed the final stages of ARCA are strongly preferred.
A minimum of four years of practical accounting experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the hospitality sector.
Demonstrated expertise in accounting software systems and intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel are essential requirements for this role.
Demonstrates a solid grasp of Kenyan tax regulations and an adept proficiency in utilizing the KRA tax system.
