The ideal applicant will deliver Physics instruction for both the IB Middle Years Program and Diploma Program while collaborating effectively with the Science Department to create dynamic, rigorous, and student-focused learning opportunities.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties, including but not limited to managing daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, and fostering collaboration across departments to achieve organizational objectives. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Maintain meticulous records, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to senior leadership to support data-driven decision-making. Act as a liaison between executive teams and staff, facilitating clear communication and resolving any operational challenges promptly. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Develop and instruct rigorous physics lessons in strict alignment with the IB MYP and DP frameworks, guaranteeing consistency with established subject goals, assessment benchmarks, and inquiry-driven pedagogical approaches.
Develop and deliver interactive learning activities—such as hands-on investigations and experiments—that foster students’ conceptual grasp, problem-solving abilities, and scientific reasoning.
Design and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with IB criteria, delivering prompt, actionable feedback to enhance student growth and academic success.
Employ tailored instructional methods to address the varied academic requirements of students within a multicultural and internationally diverse educational setting.
Create an environment within the classroom that prioritizes safety, inclusivity, and intellectual stimulation, fostering students’ well-being, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning.
Demonstrate exceptional professionalism and clarity when interacting with students, parents, and colleagues to foster collaborative partnerships that enhance student learning.
Facilitate engagement in co-curricular programs, institutional initiatives, and enrichment activities designed to foster the comprehensive growth of students.
Participate consistently in professional learning, self-reflection, and development initiatives, and attend International Baccalaureate (IB) professional development sessions as required.
The requirements
Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, coupled with a minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the industry. Proficiency in key software tools and systems is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills are required to collaborate effectively across departments. Prior leadership or project management experience is a plus, demonstrating the ability to drive initiatives and mentor others.
A recognized university degree in Physics or Physics Education is required.
A Master’s degree is preferred.
Seeking candidates with at least five years of secondary physics instruction experience, ideally within an international curriculum framework.
Candidates with prior experience instructing IB MYP and/or DP Physics will be given strong consideration.
Proven track record in instructing within a diverse, multicultural, and international educational setting, coupled with a deep comprehension of student-centered, inquiry-oriented teaching methods and assessment strategies that adhere to global academic benchmarks.
TSC registration must be obtained as a prerequisite for this position.
