About the role

As the National Sales Manager – Kenya (Pharmacy & General Trade), your core responsibility will involve crafting and implementing strategic sales initiatives while spearheading revenue expansion. You will be expected to lead the sales team with precision, ensuring consistent attainment of—and ideally, surpassing—established targets.

You will oversee Distributor management and, in turn, external Sales Teams, while overseeing the sales process and fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance Haleon’s business goals.

The position encompasses a diverse range of duties, including managing daily operations, overseeing project timelines, and ensuring adherence to company policies while maintaining high standards of efficiency and productivity. Key responsibilities involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals, analyzing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness. Work collaboratively with Marketing, Trade/Customer Marketing, NRM, and SFE teams to establish and prioritize initiatives that drive consumption growth.

Possesses strong capabilities in overseeing partners through diverse channels, encompassing their selection and ongoing performance assessment.

Strategically manage the oversight of key account programs and trade spending initiatives.

Leveraging Document Management Systems (DMS) and Sales Force Automation (SFA) to extract and analyze market insights.

Championing the advancement of pharmacy advocacy initiatives stands as a pivotal responsibility within this role. The position demands a comprehensive understanding of healthcare policy, regulatory frameworks, and the evolving landscape of pharmaceutical practices. Key duties include developing strategic advocacy campaigns, fostering relationships with policymakers, healthcare providers, and patient advocacy groups, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Additionally, the role requires staying abreast of legislative changes, analyzing their implications on pharmacy operations, and proactively engaging in public discourse to promote the profession’s interests and patient care standards. Strong communication skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics are essential for success in this position.

Spearheading a team of Pharmacy representatives to cultivate strong brand advocacy within pharmacy settings.

Pharmacies will be educated and activated to drive the offtake of the Pharmacy, ensuring robust demand generation and sustained sales performance.

Seeking candidates with a strong academic background in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role.
