POSITION SUMMARY:

The Protection Associate will spearhead the delivery of structured case management services for refugees and asylum seekers facing psychosocial distress. This role centers on conducting assessments, developing case plans, coordinating referrals, and performing follow-ups to ensure individuals receive timely, confidential, and appropriate support. Additionally, the Associate will enhance integrated, client-centered case management systems within HIS programming while integrating MHPSS principles into broader protection interventions.

Conducts essential operational duties with precision and dependability, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and objectives. Performs key tasks that directly contribute to team and company success, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency in all responsibilities. Duties include executing core functions critical to the role, supporting broader business goals through consistent performance.

Perform comprehensive intake evaluations and vulnerability assessments to ascertain client requirements, subsequently formulating tailored case management strategies.

Facilitate prompt referrals to suitable services and consistently conduct follow-ups to track progress and evaluate outcomes.

Document case details meticulously within the confidential case management system while adhering to established data protection and privacy protocols; compile and produce analytical reports to support informed programmatic decision-making.

Maintain accurate and current service mapping and referral pathways to facilitate seamless integrated case management.

The role involves assessing individuals in need of specialized mental health services and facilitating their connections to suitable providers. This includes evaluating their specific care requirements and ensuring they are directed to the most appropriate resources for comprehensive support.

Incorporate foundational psychosocial support principles into case management practices to uphold a trauma-informed and client-centered methodology.

Engage in community outreach initiatives to identify individuals in vulnerable situations and help them gain access to case management services.

Facilitate community-based systems designed to safely identify and refer individuals requiring assistance.

Facilitate mental health and psychosocial awareness initiatives designed to encourage individuals to seek support when needed while fostering a culture that diminishes stigma.

Work collaboratively with protection teams to deliver unified, comprehensive support for vulnerable individuals, encompassing those impacted by violence, child protection threats, and additional safeguarding concerns.

Establish and nurture productive partnerships with collaborators, community organizations, and service providers to enhance and sustain robust referral networks.

Compile comprehensive reports on case management activities, trends, challenges, and identified service gaps in a timely and precise manner.

Assess evolving client requirements and play a key role in enhancing program effectiveness and strategic response planning.

Ensure strict adherence to HIS policies regarding safeguarding measures, accountability to affected populations, and data protection protocols.

Facilitate the professional development and skill enhancement of staff and community stakeholders through targeted training initiatives focused on case management fundamentals, secure case handling protocols, and ethical guidelines.

Execute all additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by management.

We seek candidates who meet the following qualifications and requirements: a [specific degree or certification, if applicable], a minimum of [X years] of relevant experience, and proficiency in [specific skills or tools]. Professional expertise in case management principles, adherence to IAS MHPSS guidelines, and application of safeguarding frameworks is essential.

Proficient in the principles of Accountability to Affected Populations, ensuring that the needs, rights, and dignity of those impacted by crises or interventions are prioritized and respected throughout all operational processes.
