Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the SACCO’s ICT infrastructure, systems, networks, and digital platforms to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations.
Develop, implement, and review ICT policies, procedures, controls, and security frameworks.
Oversee ICT governance, risk management, cybersecurity, and business continuity/disaster recovery initiatives.
Coordinate ICT audits, compliance reviews, risk assessments, and timely implementation of corrective actions.
Manage ICT vendors, service providers, consultants, and regulatory relationships.
Provide ICT support services, systems maintenance, and user support to enhance service delivery.
Safeguard organizational data and information systems through appropriate security controls and monitoring.
Prepare and manage the ICT budget, work plans, and performance reports.
Evaluate, procure, implement, and maintain ICT hardware, software, and related technologies.
Supervise ICT staff and ensure effective performance and continuous improvement.
Advise Management on emerging technologies, ICT risks, and compliance matters.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related field.
At least 5 years’ experience in ICT within a regulated financial institution, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
Professional certification in CISA, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001, CCNA or equivalent.
Demonstrable knowledge of SASRA regulations, Data Protection Act, cybersecurity, ICT risk management, and business continuity management.
Strong leadership, analytical, strategic planning, and financial management skills.
Added Advantage
Experience in a DT SACCO environment.
Experience with Core Banking Systems and digital financial services.
