Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties aligned with the position’s core objectives. Support the structured organization of WCR project materials to facilitate efficient reference and knowledge-sharing.

Upon examining the WUF13 reports and proceedings, the role involves distilling and summarizing the essential exchanges and central themes, as well as the key arguments presented in the WCR 2026.

Prepare background materials and reports while coordinating internal and external events following product launches.

Verify the precision and uniformity of data and cited references in all WCR post-launch reports.

Conduct in-depth desktop research to monitor and evaluate the impact of the WCR2026 initiative.

Contribute to the foundational research process by supporting literature reviews, data collection, and both qualitative and quantitative analysis in preparation for the conceptualization of WCR2028.

Deliver adaptable and on-demand assistance in alignment with the supervisor’s directives and assignments.

Collaborate effectively with fellow team members to carry out additional tasks essential for advancing the section’s operational agenda.

Candidates are required to fulfill at least one of the following criteria at the time of application:

Enrolled in a graduate-level academic program, such as a master’s degree or an equivalent qualification, or pursuing studies at an advanced level beyond a bachelor’s degree.

To qualify, you must either be in the last academic year of an undergraduate degree program (or equivalent) at a university, or have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, PhD, or an equivalent qualification.

Proficiency in standard software applications within the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Demonstrated a strong enthusiasm for the United Nations’ mission and a deep dedication to upholding the principles enshrined in the Charter.

Demonstrates a proven capacity to engage effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and belief systems, characterized by an open-mindedness to comprehend and respect differing opinions and perspectives.

Preferred areas of study include Urban Studies, Urban Planning, Geography, Economics, Development Studies, or a closely related field. While prior professional experience is not mandatory, candidates should exhibit strong competencies in research methodologies, data collection and analysis, and familiarity with project management tools.

A relevant academic discipline closely aligned with the internship field is mandatory. Candidates must either be enrolled in the final year of an undergraduate program (bachelor’s or equivalent), a master’s or doctoral program, or hold a completed bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree.
