Responsibilities
Facilitate the structured organization of WCR project materials to enhance accessibility and foster effective knowledge-sharing.
To analyze the WUF13 reports and proceedings, extract and consolidate the primary themes and key arguments presented in the WCR 2026 discussions.
Assist in the planning and execution of internal and external post-launch events, creating essential background materials, and producing comprehensive reports.
Verify the precision and reliability of data and cited sources throughout WCR post-launch reports.
Conduct comprehensive desktop research initiatives to systematically assess and monitor the impact of WCR2026.
Support the execution of literature reviews, data collection, and both qualitative and quantitative analysis as part of the conceptualization process for WCR2028.
Offer adaptable and on-demand assistance whenever necessary, as directed by the supervisor.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to complete additional tasks that contribute to the execution of the section’s work program.
The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is the ability to multitask under tight deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning to stay current with evolving industry trends and best practices.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate-level academic program, such as a master’s degree (or its equivalent) or a higher-level qualification.
To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must either be in their final academic year of a first university degree program at the Bachelor’s level (or equivalent) or have already completed a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, PhD, or an equivalent qualification.
Proficient in utilizing standard software applications within the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Demonstrates a strong enthusiasm for the United Nations’ initiatives and is deeply dedicated to upholding the principles outlined in the Charter.
Demonstrates a proven capacity to engage effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and belief systems, coupled with a commitment to understanding and respecting varied perspectives and opinions.
Candidates should hold a degree in Urban Studies, Urban Planning, Geography, Economics, Development Studies, or a closely related field. Familiarity with research methodologies, data collection and analysis, as well as project management tools, is highly advantageous. Prior professional work experience is not mandatory for applicants to the UN Internship Program.
Applicants must hold a field of study closely aligned with the internship for which they are applying. Eligibility extends to students in the final year of an undergraduate program (bachelor’s degree or equivalent), as well as those enrolled in or having completed a master’s or Ph.D. program (or equivalent).
