Oversee a range of operational duties, ensuring adherence to established protocols and industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project execution, resolve issues, and maintain workflow efficiency. Monitor performance metrics to identify trends, implement improvements, and optimize resource allocation. Serve as a liaison between departments, fostering communication and alignment to achieve organizational objectives. Maintain accurate documentation, track progress, and report outcomes to stakeholders as required.

Facilitate the structured organization of WCR project materials to enhance accessibility and foster knowledge-sharing among team members.

Examine WUF13 reports and proceedings to distill the primary insights and debates concerning the central themes and proposals outlined in WCR 2026.

Support the planning and coordination of internal and external post-launch events, prepare essential background materials, and compile comprehensive reports.

Ensure the precision and uniformity of information and referenced sources throughout WCR post-launch reports by conducting thorough cross-verification and validation.

Conduct in-depth desk research to evaluate the effects of WCR2026.

Provide support in performing comprehensive literature reviews, collecting data, and conducting both qualitative and quantitative analyses to help develop the conceptual framework for WCR2028.

Offer adaptable and on-demand assistance whenever necessary, as directed by the supervisor.

Collaborate effectively with team members to complete additional tasks that contribute to the successful execution of the section’s work program.

We are seeking candidates with a strong academic background in a relevant field, supplemented by specialized skills that enhance professional capabilities. Ideal applicants will demonstrate expertise in specific technical or analytical areas, along with proficiency in industry-standard software or methodologies. Strong communication abilities and problem-solving aptitude are also essential to effectively collaborate within dynamic teams and address complex challenges. Additionally, any relevant certifications or prior work experience in the field will be considered advantageous.

Applicants must satisfy at least one of the following criteria at the time of application:

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate-level academic program, specifically at the second university degree level or equivalent, or pursuing studies at an advanced level beyond this.

Enrolled in the final academic year of an undergraduate or graduate degree program, or having already completed a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent qualification.

Proficient in utilizing standard software applications within the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Demonstrated a strong dedication to the mission and principles outlined in the United Nations Charter, reflecting a deep personal alignment with its core values and objectives.

Demonstrates a proven capacity to engage effectively with people from diverse cultural and ideological backgrounds, coupled with an openness to comprehend and respect varying perspectives and beliefs.

The ideal candidates will hold degrees in Urban Studies, Urban Planning, Geography, Economics, Development Studies, or a closely related field. Strong analytical skills, including expertise in research methodologies, data collection, and analysis, as well as familiarity with project management tools, are highly advantageous. Notably, prior professional work experience is not a prerequisite for applicants to the UN Internship Program.

A relevant field of study closely aligned with the internship you are pursuing is mandatory. Candidates must either be enrolled in the final year of their first university degree (bachelor’s or equivalent), a Master’s or Ph.D. program (or equivalent), or have already completed a bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree.
