Responsibilities

Facilitate the structured organization of WCR project documentation to enhance accessibility and promote knowledge exchange.

In preparation for WCR 2026, analyze WUF13 reports and proceedings to extract and consolidate the primary themes and key arguments presented.

Assist in coordinating both internal and external post-launch events, preparing essential background documentation, and producing comprehensive reports.

Cross amine the accuracy and consistency of information and referenced sources throughout WCR post-launch reports to uphold reliability and precision.

Conduct comprehensive desktop research initiatives to monitor and assess the impact of WCR2026.

Provide support in performing literature reviews, gathering data, and conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to help conceptualize WCR2028.

Deliver adaptable and on-demand assistance at the discretion of the supervisor as assignments arise.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to execute additional tasks essential for advancing the section’s work program as required.

Proven experience in [specific field or industry] along with expertise in [relevant technical skills or tools]. Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail are essential. Exceptional organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with teams and stakeholders. Applicants must be enrolled in an advanced academic program at the graduate level, such as a second university degree or higher equivalent.

Enrolled in the final academic year of a primary university degree program at the Bachelor’s level or its equivalent is required. Alternatively, completion of a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, PhD, or comparable qualification is acceptable.

Proficient in utilizing standard software applications within the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Demonstrating a strong enthusiasm for the United Nations’ mission and upholding the core principles outlined in its Charter are essential aspects of this role.

Demonstrates a proven capacity to engage effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and belief systems, characterized by openness to comprehending and respecting varying perspectives and opinions.

Areas of study preferred include Urban Studies, Urban Planning, Geography, Economics, Development Studies, or a closely related field. Proficiency in research methodologies, data collection and analysis, and the use of project management tools is also highly advantageous. It is noteworthy that professional work experience is not a prerequisite for applicants to the UN Internship Program.

A relevant academic background is essential for this internship position. Candidates must either be enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s or equivalent degree, a master’s or Ph.D. program, or have already completed one of these qualifications. Do you fulfill any of these requirements?
