A prominent telecommunications provider is seeking to hire a Trade Development Representative to join their team.

Job purpose

Our objective is to conduct channel visits to enhance retailer awareness and improve SIM and Float turnaround times, while ensuring strong visibility and effective merchandising at the point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.

Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties, including the management of daily operations, strategic planning initiatives, and team leadership responsibilities to ensure organizational goals are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance productivity, compliance, and overall performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project execution, resolve operational challenges, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress, identify areas for enhancement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Serve as a primary liaison between senior management and staff, ensuring clear communication of objectives, expectations, and feedback while maintaining alignment with the company’s mission and values.

Effectively oversee the identification and recruitment of Agents, focusing on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores, to ensure seamless SSO & Agent mapping.

Achieve target call rates by conducting regular visits to SOS and Agents in accordance with established route plans (beat plans).

Provide all necessary transaction tools to SSO and agent outlets, and conduct comprehensive training sessions for SOS and Trash Agents on operational processes.

AML training and development initiatives encompass educating agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols and instructing SOS in the Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, specifically as they pertain to the SIM REG framework.

Ensure consistent availability of stock by overseeing float management and sales activities, while strictly implementing the 1.5x stock rule for agents to prevent shortages. Verify that Sales Support Officers (SOS) maintain sufficient SIM inventory for seamless new registrations and activations, thereby supporting uninterrupted service delivery.

We are responsible for establishing and upholding merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of merchandising materials at SSO and Agent outlets.

A degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is required.

With a proven track record in the relevant field, you will bring extensive hands-on experience to this role.
