To oversee the sales and distribution of the company’s products and services to customers and consumers across a specified geographic region, ensuring consistent and profitable revenue growth. Responsible for managing and directing sales resources to optimize both sales performance and profitability. Formulates and executes strategic sales initiatives and action plans in alignment with corporate, sales, and marketing goals. Leads, motivates, and develops Sales Agents to consistently meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.

We manage and execute sales activities across designated territories in East Africa, serving a diverse customer base to drive revenue growth and market penetration. This role requires extensive travel within the region to cultivate client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and ensure consistent service delivery. Strong interpersonal skills, fluency in relevant local languages, and a deep understanding of regional market dynamics are essential for success in this position.
Consistently meeting or exceeding monthly sales volume and revenue targets across all three product categories—Stationery, Lighters, and Shavers & Shaving Preps—is a key responsibility of this role.
Implement negotiated Key Account promotions and marketing strategies with precision to drive optimal results.
To successfully oversee third-party Sales and Merchandising Agents, ensuring that sales targets, critical Trade Promotions, and in-store forward share objectives are met.
To deliver optimal sales call coverage in a cost-efficient manner, ensuring the required service standards are met while driving customer sales growth and enhancing regional profitability.
To oversee the Sales Agents with diligence, guaranteeing the execution of predetermined sales targets, promotional initiatives, and marketing goals at the store level.
With diligent execution, all agreed-upon promotions must be implemented seamlessly during the Mini-Major Back to School and Shaver/Lighter promotional periods.
Compiling and submitting essential sales and market intelligence reports is a key responsibility of this role. These reports include trade surveys, sales contact reports, in-store audits, daily and weekly updates, competitor activity assessments, promotional analysis, as well as new product and forward share evaluations.
Develop and strengthen key customer relationships while cultivating new business within the designated territory, actively pursuing untapped sales prospects and fostering opportunities for growth.
Identify avenues to enhance both the numeric and weighted distribution of current and new products within the target customer base. Evaluate customer needs and product trends, while monitoring competitor activity and emerging product innovations.
Enhances professional expertise by engaging in learning initiatives, reviewing industry literature, and nurturing relevant personal and professional connections.
The key performance indicators (KPIs) measure success by evaluating specific, quantifiable outcomes tied to both individual and organizational objectives. These metrics provide critical insights into efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness, guiding decision-making and strategic adjustments. KPIs are tailored to align with role-specific responsibilities, ensuring accountability and measurable progress toward established goals. They facilitate performance reviews, identify areas for improvement, and support continuous development through data-driven evaluations. Additionally, KPIs serve as benchmarks for benchmarking against industry standards and internal targets, reinforcing a culture of transparency and measurable achievement.
Consistently meet or exceed the predetermined strike rate targets established for the designated Direct Sales Representatives (DSRs).
Deliver targeted sales and coverage objectives for assigned FSR territories with measurable results.
Verify that assigned distributors maintain the necessary SKUs in inventory and perform monthly stock replenishment.
Ensure that all assigned merchandised outlets meet the 80% On-Shelf Availability (OSA) target consistently.
