JOB PURPOSE: –

Oversees the implementation of outlet strategies and ensures alignment with expansion targets and objectives, which are established via the Key Accounts Plan.

The Key Accounts Head will be responsible for overseeing a range of critical functions, including developing and executing strategic plans to drive growth, fostering long-term relationships with major clients, and ensuring their needs are met through tailored solutions. This role entails identifying new business opportunities within key accounts, negotiating and finalizing high-value contracts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless service delivery. Additionally, the position requires monitoring account performance, analyzing market trends, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership to enhance profitability and client retention. Strong leadership, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of market dynamics will be essential for success in this position.

We aim to expand the business while simultaneously strengthening brand equity through strategic engagement with key accounts.

Responsible for driving the attainment of sales volumes, revenue targets, and operating income across all product categories within designated retail chains, including beverages, canned fruits/vegetables, canned juices, cereals, and fresh produce.

Crafting and executing the Annual Business Plans for each designated Key Account Chain are essential responsibilities within this role.

Crafting and finalizing Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and supply agreements in collaboration with Modern Trade Accounts.

Ensuring optimal demand planning accuracy involves maintaining full stock availability of all accounts and stores across every SKU and category while delivering precise sales forecasts.

Oversee the timely collection of accounts receivable from designated key accounts in accordance with agreed-upon trading terms.

Developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives for key accounts to strengthen consumer brand equity and awareness, while overseeing trade pricing adjustments.

Overseeing third-party agencies responsible for merchandising and sales functions, including conducting regular performance evaluations to ensure alignment with established standards and objectives.

Professional experience with sales automation and customer relationship management systems is required.

We seek a skilled professional to curate and manage fresh product listings, ensuring accuracy, appeal, and compliance with company standards. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, seamless data entry, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain an organized and dynamic inventory. Proficiency in e-commerce platforms, strong organizational skills, and a keen eye for market trends are essential to enhance product visibility and drive sales performance.

Overseeing the approval process for annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs) is a key responsibility of this role. The incumbent will be tasked with formally endorsing these strategic documents to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.

As a requirement for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline. Additionally, at least three years of experience in a similar role is essential, with a proven track record of strategic planning and project management. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, along with excellent communication and leadership skills, is also necessary. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of current market trends and regulatory compliance within the sector.

The successful applicant will fulfill the following qualifications:

A relevant academic qualification in Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration—preferably with a specialization in Marketing—or an equivalent credential is required.

A minimum of two years of professional experience within a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) setting is strongly preferred.

Exhibit a comprehensive grasp of essential sales functions, including order generation, delivery processes, merchandising strategies, and account development initiatives.

Results-driven, collaborative professional with a strong aptitude for strategic thinking and persuasive communication, demonstrated through exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate ideas with clarity and structure.

The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional energy, motivation, drive, and enthusiasm, coupled with a proven track record of accomplishments.

Additionally, candidates must possess a current and unrestricted driver’s license, having maintained a consistent driving history for at least three years.
