The position demands leadership in customer interactions via presentations, solution demonstrations, and strategic discussions that translate intricate technologies into actionable business benefits. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including product management, engineering, and delivery—the Senior Manager – Presales validates solution viability and facilitates smooth implementation. Drives the entirety of customer interactions, overseeing every stage from negotiation and proposal development to the execution of finalized contracts.

Formulates and implements comprehensive regional sales strategies, assuming full ownership of customer interactions and individual sales objectives.
Oversees the full spectrum of the sales process, beginning with proactive prospecting and outreach, progressing through strategic engagement with potential clients, and culminating in the successful finalization of orders, all while maintaining consistent and impactful customer interactions on a daily basis.
Develops pricing strategies informed by meticulously gathered market intelligence at the account level.
Manages the full lifecycle of the annuity business, encompassing annual maintenance contract services, with a focus on optimizing timely renewal rates.
Mandatory qualifications include proficiency in relevant software applications, strong analytical capabilities, and effective communication skills. Candidates must demonstrate prior experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering results within specified timelines. Additionally, a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience is required. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards is essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving priorities are also necessary for success in this role.
With over a decade of hands-on sales expertise, you possess a strong background in direct sales, demonstrating a successful history of engaging with Internet Service Providers, Fiber Network Operators, Wholesale Bandwidth operators, and Mobile Operators.
With over five years of sales experience across East Africa, particularly within the telecommunications sector in Kenya, you have cultivated robust industry connections and a deep understanding of the market landscape.
Establishes and nurtures high-level connections, progressively cultivating trusted advisory partnerships at the senior executive level.
Proficiency in telecommunications domain, technology, and operational environment is essential.
Skills sought include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), along with strong communication abilities, both written and verbal. Candidates should demonstrate organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello) and familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) are advantageous. The ideal candidate will exhibit problem-solving capabilities, adaptability to changing priorities, and a collaborative mindset.
Proficient in understanding the technical value proposition and articulating it as a compelling business value position using a consultative sales methodology.
A consistent history of successfully overseeing substantial and intricate sales transactions, with a demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or surpass established targets.
A master’s in business administration or a comparable qualification is highly preferred.
Frequent travel throughout East Africa will be necessary.
Preferred Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, along with three or more years of hands-on experience in project management or a closely related discipline. Proficiency in methodologies like Agile or Scrum is highly desirable, as is experience with project management software such as Jira or Trello. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Knowledge of industry best practices and a commitment to continuous professional development are also valued.
