Responsibilities include supervising and directing the daily operations of the Recycling team, focusing on tasks such as sorting mixed waste, plastics, glass, materials designated for pig feed, and operating baling equipment.

Responsible for organizing and overseeing attendance tracking, ensuring accurate record-keeping and efficient management of staff schedules.

To uphold quality standards, develop and execute rigorous quality control procedures ensuring sorted materials comply with both company policies and regulatory requirements.

Maintain strict compliance with established safety protocols and standard operating procedures at all times.

Oversee and enhance sorting operations to achieve peak efficiency and reduce downtime to the greatest possible extent.

Coordinate the scheduling and management of forklifts to ensure efficient support for recycling operations.

Responsible for meticulously documenting the processing of sorted materials, tracking equipment utilization, and evaluating staff performance to ensure comprehensive record-keeping.

Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations to uphold a secure and compliant workplace environment.

Compile and deliver weekly reports detailing performance metrics and key OKR (Objective and Key Results) data.

Process petty cash requests and ensure timely follow-up on their approval and subsequent payment.

Oversee inventory management of materials and collaborate with the logistics team to ensure prompt removal and transportation.

Perform routine examinations and evaluations of equipment to ensure operational integrity and compliance with established standards.

Compile and deliver routine reports that detail plant operations, with a focus on key performance indicators such as productivity, efficiency, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (ONE) metrics.

Implement process control systems.

Collaborate closely with the engineering team to develop and implement new equipment designs and installations.

Data is leveraged to inform strategic decisions and drive process improvements through comprehensive analysis and reporting.

Conduct comprehensive market research to evaluate the potential applications and benefits of utilizing both current and newly acquired machinery.

Develop innovative strategies to repurpose and recycle underutilized material streams both within the company and across market applications.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience is required. Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Familiarity with SQL databases is necessary. Three or more years of experience in software development is preferred. Understanding of algorithms and data structures is crucial. Strong problem-solving abilities are a must. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams are important.

A relevant academic qualification, such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely associated discipline, is required.

With a minimum of three to five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or processing environment, you will bring proven leadership skills to guide and oversee operational activities.
