What We Are Looking For

Domain Background: Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in disciplines such as Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Architecture, conferred by a reputable Kenyan university. Proficiency in domain-specific knowledge is highly regarded as the cornerstone of planning excellence.

Candidates must demonstrate exceptional analytical capabilities through comprehensive aptitude assessments, which evaluate abstract reasoning, numerical analysis, and critical thinking. Given the elevated standards of our global clientele, we maintain stringent evaluation criteria to ensure top-tier performance.

Technical Fluency: Strong proficiency or proven capability in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, along with ease in applying data-driven analysis and spreadsheet modeling techniques. Capable of clearly communicating project management challenges and implementing hands-on construction tasks by developing comprehensive Money-Ready Plans (MRPs)—covering technical specifications, cost projections, logistics coordination, and quality assurance measures. Demonstrated expertise in managing teams, both internal personnel and external contractors. Additionally, adept at utilizing AI-assisted workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

Character: Demonstrated self-motivation, intellectual integrity, and resilience in navigating uncertainty, consistently delivering superior results with minimal oversight. Our evaluation prioritizes mindset as critically as performance.

Please submit your CV along with a concise written response (maximum 500 words) addressing the following scenario: “A client in the Middle East has requested a mixed-use commercial tower to be structurally completed within 18 months of mobilization. The MEP subcontractor has notified a four-week delay in the rough-in process for levels 12 through 18, attributed to late shop drawing approvals. The façade contractor’s schedule involves a sequential floor-by-floor execution, commencing from Level 10 upward. Identify three critical-path risks stemming from this delay and outline one mitigation strategy for each, ensuring all assumptions are explicitly stated.” Qualified and interested applicants are requested to email their CV to recruitment@excelon.co.ke, with the position title included in the subject line.
