The role involves assisting in the execution of school-level sustainability initiatives under the Sustainable School Meals Project (SSMP), coordinated by the SSMP Project Officer. This includes establishing, monitoring, and offering technical guidance on kitchen gardens, crop farming, poultry rearing, and related activities.
The incumbent is responsible for compiling, documenting, and analyzing data to ensure accurate reporting, consistent monitoring of progress, and thorough evaluation of program effectiveness. This role involves tracking key performance indicators, preparing detailed reports, and identifying trends to inform strategic decision-making. Additionally, the position requires maintaining comprehensive records, conducting regular assessments, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and accountability. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data management tools are essential for success in this role.
Compose quarterly and annual reports to document and communicate the implementation progress, ensuring stakeholders are informed of developments and outcomes.
Maintain and update beneficiary and school records, including enrollment details, feeding program data, and contact information.
Conduct routine inspections of schools to verify that all initiatives are progressing as intended, focusing on timely food deliveries, rigorous food quality control, appropriate food storage, and proper utilization by schools, among other critical aspects.
Assist in documenting Program Change and Impact stories to ensure comprehensive and accurate records of modifications and their effects.
Deliver regular updates regarding the execution of the school feeding program across all designated platforms.
Contribute to the gathering of data for needs assessments, baselines, and impact evaluations at both the school and community levels.
Maintain accurate and current documentation for all tools and trackers as mandated, ensuring strict adherence to usage protocols at all times.

Job Specification:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is necessary, alongside a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Candidates must possess strong analytical abilities, exceptional communication skills, and the capacity to work autonomously in a fast-paced setting. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools, as well as a deep understanding of current trends and best practices, are essential. Additionally, prior experience leading cross-functional teams or managing complex projects is highly desirable.
A relevant university diploma or degree in fields such as Food Security, Agronomy, Community Development, Nutrition, or Social Work is required.
Professionals seeking this role should possess a minimum of two years of practical experience in a relevant sector, with a track record of assuming increasingly responsible positions in School Feeding, Agriculture, Community Development, or Education in Emergencies.
Proficiency in agriculture and agronomy practices, particularly those applicable to educational institutions and nearby communities, is required.
Proficiency in working within Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (BASAL) regions and among local communities is highly desirable.
A motorcycle riding license must be held and is considered a significant advantage.
A valid motorcycle license and the physical ability to operate a two-wheeled vehicle safely are essential prerequisites for this role, as daily site visits require independent travel via motorcycle.
Proven expertise in overseeing intricate projects and compiling comprehensive monitoring reports.
Proficient in leveraging a variety of data collection and reporting platforms, including Kobe, OK, Google Forms, Excel, and Google Sheets, among others.
