Job Summary

To deliver operational support for underwriting processes, serve as the primary liaison between underwriting teams and customers, overseeing end-to-end service delivery. Ensure continuous engagement with key stakeholders to uphold work quality and maintain strict adherence to established governance and control standards throughout each phase.

Approve and manage major quotations

Maintain and strengthen relationships with current accounts to secure their continued business.

Assist with credit management activities to ensure timely collection of receivables and maintain healthy cash flow. Support the implementation of credit policies, monitor customer accounts, and address any payment discrepancies promptly. Prepare and distribute invoices, follow up on overdue payments, and liaise with clients to resolve payment delays. Maintain accurate records of credit transactions and provide regular reports to management regarding accounts receivable status.

Ensuring the retention portfolio aligns with and supports the overarching business strategy.

By evaluating potential risks, analyzing exposure, and proposing strategic policy measures, we aim to mitigate and manage losses effectively. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, conducting thorough risk assessments, and developing tailored solutions to minimize financial and operational risks. Through data-driven insights and proactive measures, the successful candidate will help strengthen our risk management framework and ensure sustainable business performance.

Assessing potential portfolio risks stemming from clients’ operational practices, underwriting assessments, or indications of fraudulent activity is essential.

Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and execute marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with market penetration and business growth objectives.

Evaluating and processing new or renewal business proposals by meticulously analyzing all relevant details to determine their approval or rejection.

Proactively manage and resolve escalated customer concerns in a timely and effective manner.

Through strategic partnerships with diverse distribution channels, insurance brokers, agents, and bancassurance partners, you will drive business expansion while improving service accessibility and broadening client reach.

Meeting with customers, agents and brokers to negotiate coverage, price and service delivery.

Analyzing group and individual renewal rates by leveraging customers’ background, industry, and demographic data.

Providing high level of assistance to help with review, classification, and rating of applications.

Providing courteous and prompt assistance to customers, effectively managing difficult scenarios with skill and professionalism.

Education and Experience Required:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is necessary. Additionally, five years of professional experience in software development, IT infrastructure, or cybersecurity is required. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Candidates must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Prior experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is preferred.

A bachelor’s degree in a field such as insurance, business administration, finance, or a related discipline is required.

Progress in the Insurance Professional Qualification program demands a commitment to continuous learning and the development of specialized skills within the insurance sector. Candidates must possess a strong foundation in insurance principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance, along with proficiency in relevant software tools. Responsibilities include analyzing policy documents, assessing client needs, and providing tailored insurance solutions while ensuring adherence to industry standards. The role requires effective communication with clients and stakeholders, as well as the ability to stay current with evolving market trends and regulatory changes to deliver informed guidance.

With a minimum of three years of hands-on underwriting experience, the ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in risk assessment and evaluation to this role.

Holds a bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, curriculum development, or a closely related field, with a strong academic background in pedagogy, educational technology, or learning sciences. Minimum of three years of professional experience in educational roles, preferably involving curriculum creation, instructional strategy, or teacher training. Demonstrates proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) platforms and digital content development tools. Exceptional skills in communication, collaboration, and project management, ensuring effective coordination among stakeholders. Exhibits a deep commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments while continuously advancing professional growth through ongoing learning opportunities.

Holders of a Further Education and Training Certificate (ETC) in Business, Commerce and Management Studies are required.
