Required Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in a related role. Demonstrated proficiency in project management, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary, as is the capacity to adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must possess a solid understanding of industry best practices and compliance standards, along with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

The Interpreter must demonstrate proficiency in both source and target languages, ensuring accurate and culturally sensitive communication. They should maintain a high standard of linguistic accuracy while interpreting spoken or signed messages in real-time or via recorded formats. Strong listening and comprehension skills are essential, along with the ability to convey nuances, idioms, and technical terminology effectively. Additionally, the Interpreter must adhere to ethical guidelines, including confidentiality and impartiality, while adapting to diverse linguistic and cultural contexts. Familiarity with industry-specific terminology is advantageous, and prior experience in similar roles is preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism are required to facilitate clear and effective communication between parties.

Demonstrates a strong command of Kenyan Sign Language (KSL) with proven proficiency in its application.

Skilled in delivering interpretation services across conferences, workshops, training sessions, and public events.

Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal abilities alongside polished communication expertise, fostering collaborative relationships and ensuring clarity in interactions.

Proficiency in collaborating productively with varied groups of youth and stakeholders is essential.

Demonstrates a steadfast dedication to fostering an inclusive environment, ensuring accessibility for all individuals, and upholding the highest standards of professional ethics.
