The Transport and Dispatch Manager will oversee the evolution and day-to-day operations of a fully operational Transport Department. This position requires strategic leadership, compliance oversight, and complete responsibility for the company’s internal and outsourced logistics functions. Primary responsibilities include reducing operational risks such as fuel theft, unauthorized route changes, and driver misconduct, coordinating interdepartmental delivery schedules, maintaining regulatory compliance, and deploying technology-based solutions to improve efficiency, transparency, and cost efficiency.
Key Competencies & Professional Criteria:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required. Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Java, or C++, is essential. Candidates must demonstrate experience with databases, such as SQL or NoSQL, and possess strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams are also necessary. Familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile or DevOps is preferred. Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable.

Oversee garage operations and evaluate mechanic efficiency by tracking repair turnaround benchmarks, then compile and submit reports on compliance with established standards.
To establish and uphold a structured preventive maintenance program, aiming to minimize equipment failures and prolong the lifespan of assets.
Collaborate closely with the Watch Tower to ensure daily truck availability is confirmed in real time.
Monitor and enhance truck turnaround time on a per-trip basis to ensure ongoing operational efficiency and productivity.
Diligently validate and regulate fuel consumption, odometer readings, and petty cash submissions.
Source, contract, and oversee third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure alignment with company standards, regulatory permits, and compliance obligations.
To achieve cost reduction, develop and execute strategies focused on route optimization, strict adherence to fuel efficiency standards, and meticulous oversight of spare parts inventory.
Serve as the primary yard coordinator, maintaining order, discipline, and strict compliance with established SOPs throughout yard operations.
Establish and track driver performance indicators, including turnaround time, adherence to safety protocols, fuel efficiency metrics, and on-time delivery rates.
